Dr. Al Jaber's career spans across various significant roles, including serving as the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology since July 2020, and as a member of the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs since November 2020. Prior to that, he was a key member of the UAE Cabinet and held the position of Minister of State from 2013 to July 2020. Additionally, he serves as the UAE's Special Envoy for Climate Change since November 2020. With a notable presence in the energy sector, he has been the Group Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) since 2016, and became the Managing Director of ADNOC in February 2021. Earlier, from January 2014 to February 2016, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Energy in Mubadala Development Company. Dr. Al Jaber holds external appointments as Chairman of Emirates Development Bank, Chairman of Masdar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, and as a Board Member of Emirates Investment Authority.
Dr. Al Jaber's has an impressive educational background, with a Ph.D. in Business and Economics from Coventry University in the United Kingdom, an MBA from California State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California, USA.
